Volunteering at Cohunu Koala Park is a hands-on, rewarding way to support Australian wildlife while becoming part of our community. Whether you’re volunteering on your own, as part of a team, or through an educational program, you’ll help care for our animals and contribute to the ongoing upkeep and improvement of the park. Volunteering is completely free, and while donations are optional, every contribution helps us continue caring for our animals and improving the park for future visitors.
Individual
Individual volunteers are welcomed into the daily life of the park. Tasks may include preparing food, changing bedding, observing animal health and behaviour, and helping with general park maintenance. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn, give back, and experience life behind the scenes at a wildlife park.
Team-Building for Companies
We offer unique team-building experiences for businesses and organisations looking to give back while working together in a meaningful way. Corporate volunteer groups may assist with hands-on projects such as clean-ups, refurbishments, landscaping, and enclosure improvements — building teamwork while making a real difference.
Education Volunteer Program
Our education volunteering program is ideal for university students and educational groups seeking practical, real-world experience. Volunteers gain insight into animal care, conservation practices, and wildlife park operations while developing valuable skills in a supportive learning environment.

While donations are never required, they are greatly appreciated and go directly toward animal care, park improvements, and enrichment activities.
